PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a termite-controlling bait having low toxicity, resistant to the loss of its active component even in outdoor use and exhibiting high controlling effect on termite. SOLUTION: The objective termite-controlling bait is produced by impregnating an aqueous solution of sodium molybdate and sodium tungstate in a base material liked by termite (e.g. bark of eucalyptus, bagasse and Japanese red pine), drying the produced mixture to a water content of <=15%, adding 5-20 wt.% phenolic resin adhesive or urea resin adhesive free from excess free formaldehyde based on the total bait and forming the product under high temperature and pressure condition.
