PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of removing paint film of a rotary screen. SOLUTION: The removal device of the stain-proofing paint film of the metal surface of an intake rotary screen is provided with a projection nozzle for projecting abrasives to the intake rotary screen by compressed air, a first separating means for separating relative coarse grains and fine grains from a mixture of stain-proofing paint film separated from the metal surface of the screen, abrasives, etc., a second separating means for selecting-separating the abrasives from a mixture of relatively fine grains recovered by suction of a blower through an abrasives, etc., sucking opening, an atmospheric air suction opening, and an abrasive recovery pipe below the first separating means, and a recovery-circulation means for supplying the selected-separated abrasives again to the projecting nozzle, and the device is a paint film removing device for the intake rotary screen, which opens an opening and closing means of the abrasive suction opening and controls an opening and closing means of the atmospheric air opening to intermittently open and close it to enhance the efficiency of recovering-transporting the relatively fine grain mixture.
