PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic coating device, in which the life of a discharge electrode is prolonged. SOLUTION: The discharge electrode 30 of the electrostatic coating device is equipped with a first conductive coating film 31 constituted of a thin film which is formed at least in the tip part of the electrode and also obtained by applying conductive coating on the surface of a base material formed of an electric insulating material and equipped with a second conductive coating film 32 constituted of a thin film which is formed by applying conductive coating on the surface of the first conductive coating film and also the electrode is easily exhausted by corona discharge in comparison with the first conductive coating film. The volume intrinsic resistance of the second conductive coating film is set up larger than that of the first conductive coating film. Furthermore, the conductive filler of the second conductive coating film contains carbon black. On one hand, the conductive filler of the first conductive coating film does not contain carbon black or contains a small amount of carbon black not contributing to conductivity.
