PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener of button which can easily attach a button to or detach it from a dress. SOLUTION: The fastener for releasably attaching a button, in the thread hole of which an arch foot of PVC is provided, to a dress includes a sharp pin 4 made of metal which is stuck into the dress, while the pin engages the arch foot of the button with the front side of the dress, a metal guard wire 5 extending along the periphery of the pin 4, a protecting cap 6 to receive the tip of the pin 4, and a holding tube 7 which holds the cap 6 together with the wire 5, whereby the button can be easily, rapidly replaced with new one, and also if the button is removed from the dress, the metal button can be prevented from being discolored by chemical substances contained in a detergent or water, and when the dress is dumped, the buttons can be easily removed, and hence the buttons can be prevented from being thrown away together with the dress.
