PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pruning shears for horticultural use in a pear or grape field, capable of stably and safely hanging on a branch or an iron wire instead of using a stopper or instead of housing the shears in a sack on waist when tying the branches by using an iron wire as a string after pruning branches for regulating and pruning the branches, and capable of being used easily by only gripping the shears to unhook the shears on using it again and putting the stopper on by a single hand when finally housing the shears in the sack on the waist. SOLUTION: This pruning shears is provided by installing a hook 3 at the back surface part 5 of its cutting edge 1 and in its receiving edge side 2 so as to bestride the cutting edge 1, forming a notched part at the hook 3 using the back surface part 5 of the cutting edge 1 for hanging the shears on an iron wire 4 to make it a hook part for hanging on the iron wire 4. Further, for providing a simple stopper, a notched part 8 is installed in the vicinity of a locking part 7 of the hook 3, and also, a projecting part 9 at a metal rotary plate 6 having a rotation-stopping part 10 is formed so as to rotate <=4/10 at the cutting edge 1 side.
