PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage device capable of coping even with an accident due to update of a program, etc., in a short time and its downloading method. SOLUTION: In the case of download, an updating program is stored in a second flash PROM1 which is separated from a first flash PROM0 to store a program to be updated and a program is made possible to be selectively read from either of the flash PROMs 0, 1 before and after update even after the update.
