PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of efficiently and quickly registering printing control information such as macro data in all printers even when many printers are connected to a network. SOLUTION: In the case of copying macro data registered in an HDD of a printer 10 e.g., the macro data registered in the HDD of the printer 10 are read out by a host computer G and displayed on a CRT 54. Then macro data to be copied are selected, the IP addresses of respective printers are specified and the selected macro data are transmitted to respective printers. Each printer receiving the macro data registers the received macro data in its own HDD.
