The invention relates to an interactive online ordering system that comprises a hand-held registration unit that is manually operated by the client and that detects identifications that are attached to the goods or that accompany the pictures of goods by means of a sensor, and stores them in a memory, said registration unit comprising a transmitter unit. The online ordering system is further provided with a processing unit that comprises a receiving unit that receives the data transmitted by the transmission device of the registration unit. Said processing unit is coupled with a reproduction unit that represents the received data in a form readable for the client. The inventive order system further comprises an interface for a remote transmission to a processing unit of a mail-order firm that evaluates the data, composes the corresponding goods and dispatches them to the client.
