The double walled modular partition for a building has two panels (1,2) which are parallel and attached at their edges to assembly profiles, including upper and lower (4,4') and lateral profiles. Two mounting rails (3) are fixed to the floor and ceiling and have flanges (14) which co-operate with the assembly profiles to hold the panels by their edges. A connecting strip provides a coupling between adjacent panels.
