The game is based on purchase of a game ticket (10) carrying a code that determines the outcome of the game. The code can be entered at a game terminal (30) and sent to a server (26) which executes a first game algorithm on the basis of the code carried by the ticket. This provides the first part of the game. A second algorithm in the game terminal allows the outcome of the game to be determined by an intervention from the user.
