PURPOSE: A motor improves the cooling efficiency of a commutator and a carbon brush. CONSTITUTION: An armature(13) is rotatably installed in the middle of the inside of a housing(11). A stator(12) is fixed to the housing(11) to cover the armature(13). A commutator(15) impressing electricity to the armature(13) is installed to a rotatory axis(14) of the armature(13) so as to be placed in front of the armature(13) to the running direction of sucked air. A carbon brush(16) installed slidingly to the housing(11) contacts with the commutator(15) to supply electricity to the commutator(15). An impeller(20) sucking air is installed on the rotatory axis(14) of the armature(13) in front of the commutator(15). A fan guard(21) guiding sucked air into the housing(11) is placed between the impeller(20) and the commutator(15). A cover(23) with a suction hole(23a) protects the impeller(20) and the fan guard(21). As the commutator(15) and the carbon brush(16) directly contacts with sucked air of room temperature to be cooled, the damage of the commutator(15) and the carbon brush(16) caused by heat shock is reduced.
