PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking structure for a shaft which is excellent in workability when it is used and strongly prevents the shaft from coming off. SOLUTION: When a shaft 6 is inserted in a cylindrical bearing 2 for an object to be fitted, the shaft is inserted in a slit 3 of the shaft insertion direction of the bearing 2 in a state that pinching plates 9, 9 of a curved clip plate 8 elastically engaged with the small diametral part 7 of the shaft 6 are closed and when the curved clip plate 8 has reached a widened recieve groove 5 cut and opened circumferentially at the end or the middle of the slit 3, the pressure of the pinching plates 9, 9, is relaxed to bring the breadthwise end faces 10, 10 of the pinching plates 9, 9 into contact with the axial wall faces 11, 11 of the widened recieve groove 5.
