PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent floating even by a strong wind regarding a roof tile having an upward projecting section formed on its surface. SOLUTION: The roof tile has a tile body 20 having a lower-side superposing section 30 in one of left-right edge sections and an upper-side superposing section 40 in the other, an eaves-direction extending section 45 extending in the eaves- side direction from the upper-side superposing section 40, a water-flow guide section 50 (an upward projecting section) formed near a center in the horizontal direction in the surface of the tile body 20, and a section to be engaged 52, which is formed to the ridge-side end section of the water-flow guide section 50 and with which the eaves-direction extending section 45 of the tile adjacent to the ridge side in the case of roofing is engaged. The tile has a projecting section 60 projected upwards at the ridge-side edge section of the surface of the tile body 20 and a fitting section 32, to which the projecting section 60 of the tile adjacent to the eaves side in the case of roofing is fitted.
