PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male contact engaged with a female contact, that is produced by bending a single sheet of metal plate, having high electrical contact reliability with female contact regarding the male contact which has an engaging part that engages with a base part and the female contact, and moreover which has an engaging part formable in small size using a plate part having high productivity and satisfying desired strength. SOLUTION: This male contact comprises by bending two metallic sheets overlapped, each having a base portion 20 with an engaging portion 10 extended therefrom. The engaging portion 10 is provided with a flat portion 15 extended in an engaging direction P from the surfaces 11-1 and 12-1 of mutually overlapped sheets 11 and 12 which are opposite to respective engaging surfaces.
