PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame resisting resin which does not cause a die pollution at an injection molding, can improve a compatibility with a blended resin, does not reduce mechanical properties such as impact resistance and the like and exhibits an excellent flame retardance, and to provide a flame retardant resin composition containing it. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin is a polyester resin which has a specific molecular weight and to the molecular structure of which an oxoacid metal based and a polysiloxane structure are introduced.
