PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the damage to document to the minimum extent by discharging the document at both face copying mode without reversing it. SOLUTION: The document supplied from a paper supply tray 5 is supplied up to a feed roller 17 and is further conveyed by a rotary force of the feed roller 17 to let it pass through a picture image reading part 3 provided on the main body A side in the conveyance process so that a picture image on the document is read on the main body A side. Moreover, this document is returned to the feed roller 17 while reversing it to read a picture image on its rear side and lead it into a discharge path. Furthermore, the document is reversed through a reverse rotation mechanism provided in the discharge path and then is discharged onto a paper discharge tray 7. Moreover, a non-reverse rotation mechanism is provided in the discharge path, and a switching mechanism selecting the non-reverse rotation mechanism or the reverse rotation mechanism is provided to discharge the document onto the paper discharge tray through the non-reverse rotation mechanism or the reverse rotation mechanism.
