PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ejection performance in an ink-jet head for selectively ejecting one or two or more ink droplets from the same nozzle in one printing cycle. SOLUTION: A driving signal producing circuit produces N (N=5) pulse signals for ink ejection P1-P5 with the inter-pulse interval gradually prolonged so as to approach to the actuator natural cycle, and an auxiliary pulse signal S1 for restraining the ink meniscus oscillation. At the time of ejection P (P=2) ink droplets, a selection circuit is switched from the OFF state to the ON state between the third pulse signal P3 and the fourth pulse signal P4 so as to supply the fourth (N-P+1th) pulse signal and signals thereafter P4, P5 to the actuator.
