PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit inhibition of write/read of the whole part or one part of a memory system without transmitting any specific instruction to the memory system, and to permit inhibition of write/read of only a specific file. SOLUTION: Inhibition of write/read of a file is controlled by a normal file format write/red inhibition control file, and only when passwords match with each other, the writing of the control file is made possible. Also, it is possible to realize inhibition of read/write of the whole part or one part of a memory system without transmitting any specific instruction to the memory system, that is, without necessitating any special driver or program by protecting the directory entry and FAT of the file whose writing is inhibited. Moreover, it is possible to permit inhibition of write/read of each file unit.
