PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jobsite servicing apparatus in which a degraded electromechanical component in an electrophotographic printer is separated by using an analog current analysis and by which a correction action can be taken before the component becomes out of order actually. SOLUTION: This jobsite servicing apparatus 300 is composed of a bus interface 302 which transmits a digital control signal to a module 194 used to apply a current to an electromechanical component 220 by responding to a specific digital control signal and which can be attached on the spot. The servicing apparatus is composed of a current sensor 308 which monitors the current to the electromechanical component. The servicing apparatus is composed of a bus controller which applies the digital control signal to the module 194. The servicing apparatus is composed of an analog-to- digital converter 312 which converts the current to the electromechnical component 220. The servicing apparatus is composed of a digital processor 314 which is used to obtain a digital real-time current profile. The servicing apparatus is composed of a memory 310 which stores a base-line current profile regarding the electromechanical component. The servicing apparatus is composed of a fault decision network 306 in which the digital real-time current profile is compared with the base- line current profile and in which whether the electromechanical component can be used or not is decided.
