The anti theft steering lock mechanism is mounted within the steering column housing assembly (10). The mechanism comprises lock bolt (26) that engages a splined section (28) on the steering column assembly (12). The bolt is controlled by an actuation mechanism (32,36) that is activated by a slot card (20) depressing a lever (44). The card is inserted through a slot that is loc at the top of steering column. |
