SOLUTION: In this bumper rubber 2 having a base part 8 fixed to a body panel and a body part 4 allowed to abut on the tip of a trunk lid, this bumper rubber 2 comprises a hole part 16 consisting of a through-hole 12 formed on the side surface of the body part 4 and a pair of recessed grooves 14 and 14 formed on the inside surface of the through-hole 12 and opposed to each other along the opening and closing direction of the trunk lid, the body part 4 is connected to the base part 8 through a neck part 6, and an annular throttled part 18 is formed in the connection part of the body part 4 to the base part 8. According to this, the body part 4 can be distorted and deformed, and when the recessed grooves 14 and 14 are crushed, the trunk lid can be retained with a substantially constant reaction.
