PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where a stable is formed over a long period of time by sucp pressing the down increase of discharged current quantity from an electrifying member to an image carrier and the deterioration of the image carrier. SOLUTION: In the device is provided with a high voltage power source 21 provided with at least >=2 levels of set values for AC bias so as to be switched, that are controlled to be constant current, to be applied to an electrifying roll 20 and a control means (CPU23) for carrying out change over control of the set values for the AC bias of the high voltage power source 21, according to information concerning state of use of the electrifying roll 20 (for example, accumulated time of electrification).
