PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold holder requiring no hanging bolt during repair and replacement of a metal mold. SOLUTION: Both side faces 13, 14, 23 and 24 of each of holder main bodies 11 and 21, which side faces are opposite to each other across a mold fixing part 12 and 22, are formed with adjacent recesses 15, 16, 25 and 26 cut in substantially opposite positions on both side faces and each being wide enough to pass a rope 50 therethrough, with a predetermined distance between the recesses. A hooking projection 17 and 27 for hooking the rope is comprised of the two adjacent recesses and has a cross-sectional shape capable of bearing the weight of the metal mold 30 and 40 to be lifted and the holder main body.
