PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler capable of reducing the thickness of a material, making the material uniform, adapting to a further lengthy size and freely adjusting a pressing tension. SOLUTION: The ruler comprises an end pressing plate provided at the surface of a body through a fulcrum member, and an operating means for pressing the other end of the pressing plate to the body by raising or lowering the one end of the pressing plate. In this case, the pressing plate is formed in an arch- like state, and the operating means are molded as a grip.
