PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel printing blanket, excellent in durability as well as printing quality upon using the same for high-speed printing and capable of maintaining stabilized printing quality for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The blanket B for air-type printing is provided with a compressive layer 12 of a porous structure and, in this case, an initial reaction force S0, generated in the direction of thickness of the blanket upon compressing and deforming the same so that the total thickness of the same becomes 1.80 mm by loading in the direction of the thickness, is specified so as to be within the range of 0.6-1.4 Mpa.
