PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of attaching a float switch that ensures the operation for preventing the freely bending portion of a cable from being wound to a prop or wire. SOLUTION: It draws the base portion of an attaching arm 2 into the lateral direction by inserting and attaching it to a prop or a wire 1 drooped and mounted into a liquid tank, forms neighborhood of the drawing end into a settled surfaces 5 of a cable opposed to an engaging body 4 as described below, inserts and attaches a cable 8 into a contacting surface of the settled surface 5 of the cable with the engaging body 4, randomly controls the drawing length of the freely bending portion 8a of the cable until the float switch 9 mounted in the front end, and firmly fastens the engaging body 4 to the settled surface 5 by tightening it with bolt.
