PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce efficiently a granular phenolic resol resin molding material in single equipment. SOLUTION: In the production of a phenolic resol resin molding material, a phenol is reacted with an aldehyde in a reaction apparatus having an impact due to an impact medium, and simultaneously or stepwise an organic filler and/or an inorganic filler is added thereto. The condensation reaction is carried out by heat generation due to the impact of the impact medium and/or external heating and reaction heat of the phenol and the aldehyde, and the resultant mixture is ground while or after cooling. The whole molding material contains 20-80 wt.% of the organic filler and/or the inorganic filler.
