PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a feeling, durability, water absorption resistance, static resistance, antimicrobial properties and washing resistance of a fiber material or a fiber product having each merit of silk, synthetic fiber and cotton by treating the fiber material or the fiber product. SOLUTION: The fiber material or the fiber product is processed with a fiber treating agent obtained by adding a chitosan solubilizing component and a polypeptide to a medium such as water to give the objective product having the excellent physical properties.
