PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing foreign material in which a process for removing fused material adhered to the surface of a tap hole as exhaust equipment of fused material of a blast furnace is automated is provided, which ensures stability and convenience of a worker. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus comprises: a circular plate(10) attached with heat resistant refractory on one surface and a plurality of buffer bars(12) on another surface, a fixed frame(24) supported by a fixed plate(20) and fixed by a supporting frame(26) equipped with a drive motor(25); a remote control part(30) for operating a cylinder to move a moving frame(43), a running motor(32); and a rotary motor(40) installed between the running motors and rotated along the position detected by a position sensor(41).
