PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to miniaturization, structural simplification, low cost and reduced transmitting loss in an optical module using a lens system. SOLUTION: In an optical module equipped with, between two optical fiber holders holding two optical fibers, at least two or more lenses and least one or more optical element that reflects part of a light beam; in at least one of the optical holders, intervals between the end faces of the two hold optical fibers and a lens close to the faces are set to be different from each other.
