VERTICAL CARBONIZATION OVEN OF SELF-SUSTAINED COMBUSTION TYPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical carbonization oven of a self-sustained combustion type which prevents the adhesion of clinker to the neighborhood of an air supply port from happening, thus shortens the time required for carbonization, and enables coal quality to be homogenized. SOLUTION: In this vertical carbonization oven of a self-sustained combustion type, the upper space of the inside of an almost circular cylindrical oven body 1 is used as a combustion zone; a circular cylinder 11 having a diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the oven body 1 is installed at below the combustion zone so that the cylinder 11 is driven and rotated concentrically with the oven body 1; the space formed by the side wall 14 of the cylinder 11 and the side wall 4 of the oven body 1 is used as a refinement zone wherein an organic waste is burned and carbonized by the heat of combustion; and an air supply port 7 for blowing primary air is installed at the side wall of the oven body at the position of the refinement zone. In the carbonization oven, a scraping blade 19 which can scrape the peripheral surface of the air supply port 7 is installed around the cylinder 11. The scraping blade 19 is twisted so that the organic waste is moved upward by the rotation of the cylinder 11.
