PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the adhesiveness of an image forming layer to a base. SOLUTION: The heat processable image-forming element includes (a) a polyester base, (b) a thermographic or photothermographic image forming layer containing a poly(vinyl acetal) binder and (c) an adhesive middle layer bonding the image-forming layer to the base and containing a polymer having glycidyl functional groups, and mol% of repeating units, each having a glycidyl functional group in the polymer which exceeds 75 mol%.
