PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker that inhibits operation of a handle when a contact is opened without requiring separate members. SOLUTION: A handle 2 for operating contact switch is provided at a circuit breaker body comprising a handle body 21 coupled to the circuit breaker body, and a knob 22 provided with a coupling piece 27 being detachably engaged to a recess portion 26 of the handle body 21. The knob 22 is detachably engaged to the handle body 21 at a position of the handle 2 where the contacts are maintained at an opened state within the moving area of the handle 2.
