PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam type thawing and heating device which thaws and heats frozen foods with steam without taking water into the foods, operates safely by preventing the erosion loss of a polyvinyl chloride tube, or the like, to be connected to a drain pipe of the steam and drain water though the temperatures of the steam used for thawing and heating the foods and the drain water generated from the steam and high, and smoothly performs thawing and heating cooking by preventing a small piece, or the like, in the food melt from the frozen food in the thawing and heating device from plugging an opening for discharging the steam used for heating. SOLUTION: In a steam case 3 consisting of a bottom body 1 and a cover, a steam jetting nozzle pipe 5 is arranged over a food tray to be put in and out from the case 3, and a water spray nozzle 14 is provided in a pipe 10 to be connected to the opening 9 bored at the bottom part of the bottom body 1.
