PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back-light control device for a display device permitting to simplify a circuit configuration of hardware and reduce production costs. SOLUTION: This back-light control device is configured so as to maintain brightness of a display screen constant irrespective of change in the display mode, by providing an inverter part 2 with a charging waveform generation circuit 6 for generating a triangular wave with the same cycle as that of a reference pulse and with a certain inclination angle, and a comparator circuit 7 for generating a driving pulse by making a comparison between the triangular wave from the charging waveform generation circuit 6 and a lighting control voltage from a control part 1; providing the control part 1 with memory 4 for storing correction data for correcting the lighting control voltage according to the cycle of the reference pulse; and reading the correction data from the memory 4 by an MPU 3 of the control part 1 and correcting the lighting control voltage when a display mode of the display device is changed over.
