PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying powdered material into a shaft furnace capable of suppressing generation of clogging phenomenon in the shaft furnace. SOLUTION: Upper portion of the powdered material in the shaft furnace 22 is retained in the heating condition before the furnace starts boiling, thereon feeding the powdered material.
