PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching method for a strain gauge that measures structure strain under severe environment, such as that strain, is produced in an engine under the environment with high pressure and temperature cooling water in the cooling pore installed on a diesel engine. SOLUTION: Attachment of the strain gauge comprises a process sticking the strain gauge to a measured part, a process coating an upper surface of the strain gauge with an epoxy material for preventing the strain gauge from making contact with a measured part, a process coating a butyl rubber material retaining the nonconductivity between the measured part and the stain gauge underwater of a severe environment, a process coating silicon base material and fluororesin material with superior flexibility, damp-proof property, and resistant temperature property, and a curing process hardening coating members.
