PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter device which greatly facilitates the mounting or removal of a meter. SOLUTION: The meter-setting device is provided with a holder 3, to which primary side city water piping 65a is connected and a holder 5, to which secondary city water piping 65b is connected and a connection part of a meter 56 is supported by pipe bodies 24 and 45 for connection, provided on the respective holders 3 and 5. At least one pipe body 24 for connection of the pair of the pipe bodies 24 and 45 for connection is fitted into the holder 3 freely retractable, to allow moving thereof in the direction of approaching or separating from the other pipe body 45 for connection. Moreover, the pipe bodies 24 and 45 are connected by a convex-concave fitting to the connection part of the meter 56.
