PURPOSE: A method for compensating for an error in sensing a position of a brushless DC motor is provided to compensate for an error sensed by a sensorless position sensing part with an angle of delay. CONSTITUTION: In consideration of the fact that a potential(Vn) of a neutral point(COM) is Vdc/2 and a terminal voltage(Vc) is Vdc/2+EMFc, a sensorless position sensing part senses a position of a rotor(S100). The sensorless position sensing part detects a current applied to a BLDC motor(S110). An additional load current sensor can be used to detect a current applied to a load. When a detected error signal and an over-current are applied, a Micom calculates a compensating voltage of ω·ib·dLb/d&thgr; and a compensating angle of compensating voltage/ΔEMFx60°(S120). An error in sensing the position of the rotor is compensated by using the obtained compensating voltage and the compensating angle, whereby an error in a section of delay can be minimized(S130).
