PURPOSE: An automatic limit apparatus of maximum speed for a vehicle is provided to prevent accidents by observing the speed limit, and to adjust the maximum speed of the vehicle automatically according to the work place. CONSTITUTION: An automatic speed limit device is composed of a luminous body installed around a door of a work place to emit on-and-off light emitting signals continuously; a luminous body receiving unit installed in the vehicle to detect the position of the vehicle according to the signal from the luminous body; a driving unit formed in the lower part of an accelerator pedal, and driven according to the detected signal from the luminous body receiving unit to adjust the effort angle of the accelerator pedal; and a switching unit(7) interlocking with a cam(5) installed in the lower part of the accelerator, and stopping the cam in reaching the predetermined displacement point. Accidents are prevented with observing regulation speed.
