<p>The invention concerns the formulation of an elastomeric lining consisting of dissolutions in organic solvents or aqueous dispersions of high molecular weight polymers obtained from polymerization of one or several monomers containing ethylenic unsaturation such as polyacrylates, polybutadienes, polyvinyls, etc., and by dispersions of polyurethan used individually or as mixtures of said polymers. Expandable microspheres are dispersed in said polymer dispersions or dissolutions by heat, auxiliary agents such as wax, charges, silicates, leveling agents, pigments and surface active agents being added thereto. The product previously described is applied on the surfaces to be improved using various methods. Expansion of the lining is subsequently achieved by applying heat, whereby said lining is exposed to a temperature ranging between 50° C and 150° C during a variable time period. Said elastomeric lining is applied on surfaces formed by organic fibers such as leather, fabric, cardboard, paper, etc. with the aim of improving smoothness, flexibility, uniformity, resistance to traction, adhesion, resistance to water, alcohol, toluene and acetone.</p> |
