PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a wedge base light bulb aimed at a downsizing of depth size. SOLUTION: For the mounting structure of the wedge base light bulb, since a load dispatching means is generally installed at the bulb installation part of a socket, and a connector connecting to the load dispatching means at the socket rear end part is generally installed as well, the depth of the socket is large, and the depth of the socket is requested to be miniaturized greatly. On this account, at the socket to fix the wedge base light bulb, an insertion part to which the a stationary portion of the light bulb is fitted, a peripheral part, and a rear end part at the rear face are integrally formed, and an opening which penetrates from the insertion part to the rear end part is installed. In addition, the socket only fixes the inserted light bulb without installing an electric load dispatching terminal which makes an electric connection. Afterwards, the connector is made to be fitted into the opening of the rear end part, and the electric load dispatching terminal installed at the connector and a lead wire of the wedge base light bulb are electrically connected. On this occasion, by fittings into the connector from the rear end part, a fixing between the wedge base light bulb and the socket is made more firmly. This makes the depth size small, and the mounting structure with easy mounting work is provided.
