METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING ROLLS AND SETTING PASS LINE OF ROLLS DURING CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: A method for setting accurate pass line of rolls and monitoring degree of deterioration of each rolls according to time during continuous casting is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for diagnosing rolls and setting pass line of rolls during continuous casting comprises the process of setting accurate pass line and monitoring variation of the pass line according to time during continuous casting, wherein the pass line during casting is monitored by on-line measuring displacement of the rolls during casting using a dot type roll displacement measuring system, displacement difference of the rolls between during casting and during non-casting is displayed by measuring displacement of the rolls using a roll displacement measuring device at the same time when a roll gap checker is passing through rolls of a continuous casting machine during non-casting, and desirable pass line during casting is always set by on-line measuring increase of high temperature strain according to deterioration of a roller apron, wherein a displacement sensor and a measuring rod are periodically operated by an air cylinder, and thermal expansion is prevented to the utmost by a special cooling system, and wherein roll displacement during non-casting is realtime measured, and roll pass line during casting is on-line monitored by measurement of the roll gap checker and using of the roll displacement measuring system at the same time.
