PURPOSE: A multi-room sound system is provided to reduce the amount of wires and easily install a system by distributing an original sound signal which is not amplified. CONSTITUTION: A multi-room sound system includes a sound source unit(10), a main system unit(12), a zone system portion(14), a remote controller(16), an armored amplifier(18), and a speaker(19). The sound system unit(10), when a first source(1002), second source(1004), and N are a predetermined positive number, comprises an N source(1006). The main system unit(12) includes a supplying unit(1020), a source distributing unit(1204), an MP3(MPEG layer 3) decoding unit(1206), an interface unit(1208), a main controlling unit(1210), and a web connecting unit(1212). The web connecting unit(1212) is connected to an Internet(1220) and receives variable contents from an ISP(Internet service provider) server(1224). The zone system portion(14) includes an LCD(liquid crystal display) display(1402), a key pad(1404), a zone controlling unit(1406), an interface unit(1410), an extended card(1412), an internal amp(1414), an IR(information retrieval) sensor(1424), a microphone(1426), and an optical sensor(1430).
