The kit for the erection of a garden structure, composed of a number of square tubes with a cross section to be fitted together, has at least one base unit with a base plate (2) with a tube (4) mounted on one side in the square cross section of the structure tubes and with mounting points (20,22). The ground anchor is on the other side of the base plate (2). The end of the structure tube has a smaller cross section, to fit into the mounting tube (4) in a positive fit, and be locked in place at the mounting points.
