PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the displacement of the dumet wire from the contact by arranging the contact of a terminal at a location from which dumet wire is less displaceable and hence improve the reliability of electrical connection. SOLUTION: In the terminal for a lamp, a lamp 30 has a connection part 32 to a terminal body 20. The dumet wire 34, which is drawn out of the end of the connection part 32, is arranged along the surface of the connection part 32, and electrically connected to the terminal body 20 when the terminal body 20 is coupled to the connection part 32. The terminal body 20 receives the insertion of the connection part 32 and has a pair of clamping strips 24 and 25 located to clamp the connection part 32 therebetween. At least one of these clamping strips has the contact 24a for electrical connection to the dumet wire 34, and the contact 24a is arranged at the closest possible location to the end from which the dumet wire 34 is drawn.
