PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundancy definition data preparing method by which use and load of a resource of a computer for preparing redundancy definition data is lightened, and the number of persons and a place for working to generate redundancy definition data are not restricted. SOLUTION: Redundancy definition data for realizing a redundancy function of a memory device including arrangement of spare cells in a memory device and position information of a defect relieving range in which defect is relived by the spare cells is preparing by using a programming language A including item names, operation equation, and a repeating instruction.
