PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can automatically and accurately decide the posture of an object in an image. SOLUTION: A 1st means 112a extracts an area (transparent area) outside an object area in an object image (radiation image) to obtain representative information (gravity center of transparent area) of the area. A 2nd means 112b extracts the object area from the object area to obtain representative information (gravity center of object area) of the object area. A 3rd means 113c decides the posture of the object in the object image according to the result of a comparison between the pieces of information obtained by the 1st means 112a and 2nd means 112b.
