PURPOSE: A plasma display device is provided to prevent unbalance of luminance of fluorescent layers by arranging an auxiliary fluorescent layer at the second substrate so as to compensate for the luminance difference between fluorescent layers. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device comprises the first substrate(21); an address electrode(22) formed into a predetermined pattern at the upper surface of the first substrate; the first dielectric layer(23) formed onto the first substrate so as to bury the address electrode; a barrier rib(24) formed onto the dielectric layer so as to define a discharge space; R,B,G fluorescent layers deposited in the discharge space defined by the barrier rib; the second substrate(31) which is transparent and seals the discharge space by being coupled with the first substrate; a plurality pairs of sustaining electrodes(32) arranged at the inner surface of the second substrate, and which are constituted by a pair of first and second electrodes(32a,32b) forming a predetermined angle with respect to the address electrode; the second dielectric layer(34) arranged at the second substrate so as to bury sustaining electrodes; a protective layer(35) formed onto the second dielectric layer; and an auxiliary fluorescent layer(40) formed at the second substrate, in the region corresponding to the fluorescent layer with the lowest luminance from among R,B,G fluorescent layers. |
