PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration in performance of a condenser by causing the liquid drops of a liquid phase medium accumulated in an opening part at the lower end of a medium passage of the condenser to fall down effectively. SOLUTION: In a condenser cooling the steam supplied to a cooling pipe 14 connected with a cooling fin 16 to condense it to water and recovering it in a water collecting tray 21 provided in the down side of the cooling pipe 14, a needle-like member 24 is provided to face an opening part at the lower end of the cooling pipe 14, and the liquid drops accumulated in the opening part at the lower end of the cooling pipe 14 by a surface tension are collapsed by the needle-like member 24 to fall down in the water collecting tray 21. A plate-like filter can be used for the needle-like member 24. In this case, dust contained in water can be removed in addition to permitting the liquid drops to fall down from the opening part at the lower end of the cooling pipe 14 more effectively by the capillary phenomenon of the filter.
